’ve been training with Marika once a week since June 2024, and it’s been an amazing experience. I first met Marika in September 2023 when I started my journey in the gym. I wanted to get back into shape as I have severe asthma and I had been on 40mg steroids everyday for 2yrs. I came off the steroids in May 2023 and was given the all clear by the doctor to start exercising in September 2023.

I started attending Marika's classes, and I was struggling as I hadn't worked out in a long time and my lungs were not strong.

Marika would always make me feel ok when I had to stop or was struggling and she told me to go at my own pace.

She would workout beside me and push me in a way where I wanted to do my best.

Marika is very knowledgeable about the body and also very knowledgeable about healthy eating. I started meal prepping with Marika and she changed my perception of food for the better. 

I never knew I could have healthy tasty food which is good for me as healthy food is always perceived as boring and tasteless but with Marika she showed me how to get food that is good for me and also tasty. 

This also was a big help as I work Monday to Friday so by meal prepping I always had breakfast lunch dinner or sometimes breakfast and lunch. 

By doing this I got my children to also start eating healthy they might not eat everything but they do a lot of things.  Marika has been so inspirational and has helped me so much on my journey she pushes me for the better and she's not like those other instructors who shout and scream she does it with love and really brings out the best in me. 

I have gone from 115kg to 86kg. I would not have been able to do this without Marika. She has taught me so much and I continue to go to her classes.
